Crooked Lake Ranch

Grandpa got a new camera lens, so Ben and I went out to Crooked Lake Ranch today to pose for him. We had a great time watching the cows and cheesing for the camera. I just love all of the pictures Grandpa took. What a great early Mother's Day gift for me!

April Recap

April, you just flew right by! Jeremy's 7th season of baseball ended, we had FCAT, I got a gym membership, we registered Ben for his second year of preschool.....we have been so BUSY! Here are tons of random photos to catch everyone up!


I've been doing weights at the gym with my friend, Elya, after school on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays. I get up super early before work on Tuesdays/Thursdays to get my running in. I'm training for an upcoming race, so I've been doing a little speedwork.......

I LOVE date nights! Jeremy and I had dinner at Lakeside Village and saw the movie 42 one evening. It was lovely....

We began our unit on Greek Mythology and these sweet young ladies helped me hang my family tree of the gods & the titans...

Ben was watching Thomas & Friends one afternoon and I just had to get a picture of him sitting like this!

Ben is signed up for his first race so we've been practicing at the track. I hope he grows up to love running as much as his mama & daddy!

Grandma's Birthday Weekend

We had fun celebrating Grandma's birthday this weekend. Her actual birthday was on Friday, so we wrapped up her presents Thursday night and gave them to her Friday morning when we dropped Ben off before school. Jeremy, Ben and I shopped for her presents while we were in Orlando for Spring Break. We were so excited to give them to her. Jeremy had a baseball game Friday night, so we had lunch at Frostbite Saturday afternoon before they left for Punta Gorda to visit Sam and Darlene. Since we didn't get to see them much on Saturday, we also met them in Lakeland for lunch at Olive Garden on Sunday. We did a little shopping at Lakeside Village after lunch, then took Ben to Common Ground Park. It was a great weekend.

Spring Break & Easter

We spent the second weekend of Spring Break at the Gaylord Palms. Ya'll know it's our home away from home. I've been making a little extra money selling jewelry, so I treated my favorite guys to a weekend getaway! The weather had been cool all week, but warmed up just in time for us to splash in the pool. We did a little shopping and even had  Easter breakfast at Villa de Flora. Ben was thrilled that the Easter Bunny found him and delivered a basket of goodies at the hotel. Nana got Ben a Thomas and Friends dvd a few months ago, so he has been on a Thomas kick. The Easter Bunny brought him the wooden engine James, the Chug Wash from Chuggington, some books, train stickers and a chocolate bunny. On the way home, we met Grandma & Grandpa at Bok Tower for an Easter picnic. Grandpa is taking another photo workshop, so he snapped some pics while we were there. 

We've had such a great week off! I am so thankful to have a job that allows me this much time off with my family!

Poolside with a People magazine! I haven't done that in years! I stopped and picked up a few magazines on the way to the pool. The clerk said something about me reading my "weekly gossip" and I almost told him about all of the books I just read on world history, economic theories, wars, revolutions and geography. I was overdue for a little "light" reading. Don't judge, dude!

Ben was so tired after swimming all day. I snapped this sweet picture of him watching Fireman Sam in the hotel room before we left for dinner Saturday night. 

We got back from dinner in time to watch the men from Gator World feed the alligators in the atrium. It was really cool!
