Fewox Park with Aunt Joycie & Friends

Aunt Joycie called me this morning and asked if Ben would like to come to the park to play with his friends. He has been home with us all summer, so we are so thankful that Joycie calls us when she takes the kids to the park so Ben can play with his friends. We just got his bicycle tire fixed, so I suggested taking it to the park to share with his friends. They were so cute playing with each other and taking turns on the bike. I brought my camera of course, and got some cute pictures of the kids playing.

Cody's

Tonight, we had dinner at Cody's Roadhouse in Sebring. It's the new restaurant down there, but Jeremy and I used to eat at Cody's all the time when we lived in Palm Harbor. It was really neat to eat there again. Ben loved eating the roasted peanuts on the table. Wednesdays are buy 1 get 1 free Fajitas! We are so happy to have a new/old place to eat so close to home.

Movie Date

We met Grandma and Grandpa Byrd in Lakeland this afternoon for a movie date. Ben was so excited when we told him we were going to see Ice Age 4. We snuck in some candy and drinks, but just had to get some of that yummy movie theater popcorn. Ben did really well watching the movie. Jeremy and I love the movies, so we are so glad Ben seems to enjoy it as well.

Children's Museum with Bennett

We met up with our friends Natalie and Bennett at the Children's Museum in Sebring this morning. This was Bennett's first trip and we think he enjoyed it. It took him a little while to realize he could touch and play with everything there! We have really enjoyed this place since Ben's first trip last summer. After playing at the museum for a couple of hours, we had lunch at Don Jose's on Lake Jackson. Here are some pictures from our fun trip:

Another Shopping Adventure

We went to the Brandon Mall today with Grandma and Grandpa Byrd. It's one of our favorites because of the Apple store and all the fun things for kids to do. Ben loves the carousel because it's two stories. They also have a new Sesame Street play area. We didn't buy much, but sure had fun window shopping and letting Ben play. We took Ben to the Stride Rite store to have his foot measured, and his foot has grown to a size 10.5! Here are some pictures from our trip. We are working hard to keep Ben entertained this summer!

Trip to Orlando

We had a fun little shopping trip to Orlando today. We went to the Mall at Millenia first and had a yummy lunch in the food court. We visited a few stores and let Ben ride the escalator. He could care less about shopping and could ride that escalator all day. After the mall, Ben and I had our first visit to Bass Pro Shops. It really is a neat store, if you like fishing and hunting, etc. Ben loved the big fish tank and pretending to drive four wheelers and buggies. After Bass Pro, we went to Downtown Disney. It rained just as we got there, so we couldn't ride the train or carousel. We had a good dinner at Cracker Barrel before heading back to Frostproof. Thanks for another fun day, Grandma and Grandpa!

The Florida Aquarium

The three of us went to The Florida Aquarium with Grandma and Grandpa Byrd today. Ben remembers so much about his trip to the aquarium last year, so he was super excited to go back today. Ben loves watching and learning about the marine life. He was still too scared to pet the sting rays, but he did pet a star fish and anemone. We ate lunch at Cafe Ray again, then visited the sharks. After a couple of hours exploring the aquarium, Ben was ready to ride the streecar around Channelside. We stopped at Coldstone for an afternoon snack, then rode the streetcar to Ybor City.
