FHS Alumni Game

FHS baseball hosted the third-annual alumni game yesterday. Jeremy and the team did such a great job putting it together. The BBQ pulled-pork dinners were so good! The alumni had so much fun reliving their glory days and competing with each other. It's so much fun to watch these guys come out and play again.

Ben really enjoyed himself at the ball field. He got to catch up with Payton and Hannah Ogburn. Hannah is having a good time in Kindergarten this year. Ben really misses her at Aunt Joyce's though.

Enjoy the pictures!

Yay! Jeremy made it to 3rd base!

Can you tell how much fun my husband was having playing ball again?! :)

Never Grow Up

Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Ben loves trains so I knew he would love this train engineer costume to play in. He was so excited when I gave it to him. He did not want to take it off. He wanted us to call him "Conductor Ben." I love this boy's imagination. I wish he could stay this little forever.

Date with Michelle

I got to hang out with my BFF, Michelle, last Saturday. We met up in Lakeland and went to the movies. We had so much fun catching up. She lives in Germany now with her husband, so I don't get to see her very much. I can't wait until her next visit.

Just Like Dad

Ben loves pretending to shave like Daddy. I love this picture of him.

The things I'm looking forward to this month...

that are keeping me from going insane!

1. Baseball Alumni game/BBQ dinner (praying Mrs. Dyer makes strawberry shortcake again)
2. Playdate at the children's museum with Laci, Marlee and Easton
3. SPRING BREAK
4. Two nights at the Gaylord Palms with my boys for the low price of $99 per night
5. Getting my 45 minute formal observation over with

I can't put this on my list yet because it's not definite, but I think I figured out a way to get back into my running routine. Jeremy has had so many baseball games lately. Four this week to be exact if you count the alumni game. I think I'm going to leave Ben with Grandma and Grandpa Byrd during the home games (if they don't mind) and run the track with a flashlight! That's right folks! If you pass the high school and see a weird light going round and round, that will probably be me, ha ha!

I promise I will post pictures soon! They take so much time to upload and every minute is so precious to me right now! I got to see my BFF Michelle last week. She is in Polk County from Germany for a few weeks. I was so happy to get my Michelle fix!

Love Day, Disney and Baseball!

Whew! We've had a busy few weeks. Baseball games have begun, so my computer time is very limited. We did have a really good 3-day weekend. Varsity had a home game Friday night against Ridge. We won! The JV boys had a double-header Saturday so we were at the ball field again. We took Ben back to Disney on Sunday. We were a little hesitant because we thought it might rain, but the weather held up for us. It was windy and overcast, which is a great combo for Disney! It sure made the lines for rides more tolerable. There was a baseball game Tuesday night against All Saints. We won that one, too. The boys are playing Hardee tonight in Wauchula, so Ben and I are hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. Ben loves this new app on the iPad called Zoo Train. He is playing that right now while I update this blog!

Enjoy the pictures!

Here are some pictures of Ben making Valentine goodie bags for his friends. He was such a good helper. He stuffed most of the cute little monkey bags :)
We attached these cute photo cards to each bag. We got 24 from Walmart for like $3. They were almost as cheap as the little paper cards. Thanks for the tip, Laci!
Ben really loved his Valentine goodies. We got him the game Operation, a Snoopy stuffed animal, play-dough and some sweets.Disney pictures:The first thing Ben wants to do is get popcorn and ride the Walt Disney Railroad. This boy LOVES trains!
waiting on the Country Bear Jamboree. I love his eyes in this picture.

We watched the parade from the train station. We had a great view!
Ben loves hearing this band play Disney tunes. Well, he loves bands period. He went to a baseball game with Grandma last week and told her he couldn't wait to hear the marching band. Grandma explained that there wasn't going to be a band, but when the Star Spangled Banner was played from the press box, he said "See! I told you there was a marching band." HA HA!Ben loved this cute little duck in front of Cinderella's castle!
Ben loved this green balloon! Can ya'll believe this thing cost $10?!?!
dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way home!
Our neighbors have azaleas and the blooms are just gorgeous! I made Jeremy get a picture of us in front of them :)
