Christmas Eve

We spend every Christmas Eve at my Aunt Darla's house in Avon Park. We always have so many good laughs. Ben was such a cutie in his Christmas shirt and sweater vest. He was a little ham, too. He had so much fun playing with his cousins. I got to enjoy some sweet snuggles with my new baby cousin, Kyler. I am so thankful for my big family!

We got home around 9:30 and put out the cookies & milk for Santa (and a few carrots for the reindeer). Ben went right to sleep after such a fun night!

Weekend before Christmas

The weekend before Christmas was a busy one. After Ben's Christmas party, we headed to Bartow to visit Papa Stone. We had some yummy finger foods and exchanged gifts. After dinner, we loaded up in Grandpa's truck and drove around to see the beautiful homes all decorated for the season. On Saturday, the three of us went to the mall in Brandon, then to Lakeside Village. Lots of last-minute shopping to do. We had a good dinner at Olive Garden before coming home. On Sunday, Grandma & Grandpa Byrd kept Ben for us so we could finish up our shopping.

Gingerbread Christmas Party

Today was our last day of work and Ben's last day of school before Christmas break. Our awesome boss let Jeremy and I leave early so we could attend Ben's Gingerbread Christmas Party. His preschool class had so much fun decorating gingerbread cookies, making gingerbread men, and stringing together a necklace that included a gingerbread charm. Katy-Grace's grandma (Ya Ya) stopped by to read a special story to the children. Ya Ya came all dressed in an apron and hat, and even had a rolling pin. She read The Gingerbread Baby to the children.
