Miles for Moffitt

We've had a fun start to Mother's Day weekend this year. Jeremy, Ben and I stayed the night in Tampa with my Aunt Lisa Friday night and ran the Miles for Moffitt 5K this morning. We met up with my Aunt Darla and cousins Kacie and Katie. Aunt Darla is a breast cancer survivor so we ran in honor of her! She had her treatments at Moffitt, so what better race to donate money to! We also ran in memory of my Grandmother, Twila Doughty. She passed away in March of 2004. Moffitt provided her treatments as well. Moffitt is very special to our family.
Enjoy the pictures!

I got to show Ben where I lived on campus
Ben was so excited to see the bus stop and hear about his mama riding this bus to classes in college
We taught Ben the Bulls' sign. Go BULLS!

Me and my boy

I love this boy :)

Big Boy!

We finally decided it was time for Ben to have a big boy bed. We packed up his toddler bed to make room for his new full size bed a couple of weeks ago. Ben was such a big helper. He has been doing a great job sleeping in his new big bed. I'll have to post pictures once the new bedding comes in so you can see his new big boy room.

Proud boy!

Ready for school

Ben got his letter from Babson Park Elementary accepting him into their preschool program in the Fall on Friday. We are so excited! PBK had their preschool size backpacks on sale, so I went ahead and got him one. I had a little moment when he put it on....tears and everything. I can't believe my little boy is about to start school. I opened up all of the zipper pouches and showed him where we will put his school supplies. He immediately took off to his play room and started stuffing the backpack with crayons and markers. He is so ready for school. Here are some pictures of Ben modeling his new backpack.

Handsome

Ben melted my heart in his tuxedo jacket.....I cannot wait to see him in the entire suit.

He's not wearing a hat in the wedding.....he just had fun trying these on for kicks.

First Friday

We had to go to Lakeland Friday night for Ben and Jeremy's tux fitting. It just so happened that it was the first Friday of the month and Lakeland celebrates every first Friday downtown where we were. We had so much fun listening to music, eating Italian Ice, and checking out all of the Public Works vehicles. There was a garbage truck on display and Ben was in heaven! We also got to see the train! Ben did not want to leave. We will definitely go back to First Friday in June. Enjoy the pictures :)

Dinner with Ashton

Ben and I had a fun dinner date with Miss Ashton Thursday night. We all love Olive Garden, so we met up in Winter Haven. Ben was so excited to see Ashton and show her his new Disney tram from Grandma and Grandpa.
