My Sick Boy

Ben had an appointment with Dr. LaRue yesterday afternoon. He's been fighting a cold this week, so we wanted to get him checked out before the long weekend. I was surprised to hear that he has pneumonia! Dr. LaRue said he probably had bronchitis and it quickly turned into pneumonia. We went over to Winter Haven Hospital to get a chest x-ray. Ben was very brave and we were in and out of there in less than an hour. Dr. LaRue called us this morning and said his x-ray looks like he expected it to look. As long as Ben doesn't get any worse, we will be able to treat this at home. We have two antibiotics and a cough syrup to give him. We're hoping the meds and lots of rest this weekend will heal our sweet boy!

We had a mini photo-shoot with Roxy when we got home. Ben just loves her and wanted to take my picture with her. Ben and I love Mr. Frank's dog like she was our own. Maybe one day we can talk Daddy into a dog of our own!

Ben all bundled up this morning so we could go rent some movies. I hate having to keep him inside all weekend, so I'm hoping we can keep him entertained!

Katie's Bridal Tea

My sweet cousin Katie is getting married March 1st. Our Aunt Lisa hosted a beautiful bridal tea today in her honor. We all had fun dressing up in pearls, hats & gloves for the tea party. Lisa brought several teas from Teavana for us to choose from. We had fruit, sandwiches (smoked salmon, cucumber, and curry chicken), and cupcakes to go along with our tea. Lisa also brought William Dean Chocolates from Largo. The chocolates are made by hand in their shop (the chocolates were featured in the capital scene of Catching Fire). They were delicious!

You gave a lovely shower today, Aunt Lisa! We are so lucky to have you for our aunt! xoxo

My 31st Birthday

Jeremy and I woke up in the hotel this morning and were starving for breakfast! We decided to find a Chick-Fil-A and get some breakfast to go. We brought it back to the hotel and had breakfast in bed. Ben had stayed the night with Grandma & Grandpa, so we called him to see if he was awake. He was so sweet wishing me happy birthday on the phone! I asked Ben what he would like to do today and he said "Disney!" Cindy brought Ben to us in Orlando and we took him to Downtown Disney first for lunch. I got a special lunch dessert at Ghirardelli that was so yummy! We let Ben ride the train, then he asked to ride a Disney bus. We found one that would take us to the Magic Kingdom. It made several stops on the way, so Ben got a good, long, bus ride! The bus dropped us off at the Contemporary Resort, so we got to explore that hotel and ride the monorail over to MK. There were quite a few people there, so we only stayed for a couple of hours. We rode the train, the teacups, and let Ben play in Fantasy Land where Casey Jr. is located (the train from Dumbo). We left the park and rode the Disney bus back to Downtown Disney where our car was parked. Ben fell asleep on my shoulder while we were on the bus! It was a good birthday present for me...he hasn't done that since he was a baby! On the way home, we stopped at the Chili's in Champion's Gate for my birthday dinner. Everything was very delicious!

I love my sweet family so much! Thank you, Jeremy, Ben, Neal & Cindy for making my day so special.

Jellyrolls

Jeremy took me to Orlando tonight for a special birthday celebration with friends. We stayed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek and met some friends at Jellyrolls on Disney's Boardwalk. Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar. We had so much fun! Thank you Jeremy, Kacie, Katie, Ryne, Megan, Jason, Amy, Lisa, Blaine, Brian & Courtney for making my 31st birthday so special!

These cute little guys joined us for lunch at the Hilton!

I didn't get a group shot while we were in Jellyrolls, but my beautiful cousins braved the cold on the Boardwalk for a quick picture before heading back to Tampa.

Brian, Jeremy, and Jason

I got called up on stage to do a Conga Line through Jellyrolls! So much fun!

Courtney told one of the singers it was my birthday while I was in the restroom, so I got called up on stage to do the Unicorn song & dance.....so funny!!!

Birthday Dinner

I had a delicious early birthday dinner tonight at Longhorn. Jeremy, Ben, Mom, Aunt Darla, Neal, Cindy, Uncle Chuck, Papa Stone and Miss Pauline were all there to celebrate with me. We had such a great time together. I love my family!

We did a little shopping after dinner and found hats to wear for Katie's bridal tea!

Ben's First Eye Exam

Ben had his first eye exam today! Jeremy and I have been going to Dr. Pearce since we were kids, so it was very neat to take Ben. He did such a great job! He has perfect vision for his age. We hope it stays that way! Ben was a little disappointed that he didn't need glasses. Almost everyone in his family wears glasses, so I think he had it in his head that he would need them. We let him try on a few pairs of glasses just for fun. He wanted to try on a pair like Grandpa's....it was so cute. We took Ben out for lunch after his exam. He got to pick the restaurant and chose Chick-Fil-A!

Magic Kingdom and Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Today marks one whole year of having annual passes to Disney! We celebrated with about 4 million other people at Magic Kingdom...

We stayed long enough for Ben to eat popcorn, ride the train and spin on the tea cups.

We decided at the last minute to ride the resort launch over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I am so glad we went. I've been drooling over this photo from WDW Shutterbug and couldn't wait to see it in person:

We loved exploring this resort. We're going to start saving for an overnight stay! After exploring and taking pictures, Ben decided he wanted to ride a Disney bus back to the Magic Kingdom. It was his first bus ride and he loved it!

We were all starving when we left the Magic Kingdom, so we stopped at Cracker Barrel for chicken and dumplings. We had such a great day! Thanks, Grandma & Grandpa!

The Children's Museum

We used our Groupon deal to sign up for a family pass to the Children's Museum today. Ben loves playing at the museums! We had a nice little lunch date at Olive Garden using some gift cards we got for Christmas. Then we headed over to the Children's Museum in Sebring. Ben had a blast and so did his mama & daddy!
